Post — Education Vampires Afflict Students

A huge problem in education is the disaffection of students for learning.

One contributor is compliance curriculum — curriculum and culture requiring students to study a subject whether they want to or not, be tested on it, and then move on to the next test.

But even the joy of a student for a subject can bjoy drained by summative evaluation masquerading as formative assessment.
